Khivsky District
Khivsky District (Russian: Хивский райо́н) is an administrative and a municipal district (raion), one of the forty-one in the Republic of Dagestan, Russia. The area of the district is 620 square kilometers (240 sq mi). Its administrative center is the rural locality (a selo) of Khiv.[1] District's population: 23,266 (2010 Census preliminary results);[2] 20,747 (2002 Census);[1] 16,961 (1989 Census).[6] Population of Khiv accounts for 10.8% of the district's population.[1]
